In drawing, the eye, the hand, and the mind must agree-none dominates. To draw is to be deeply engaged in observation, analysis, physical effort, and feeling. Through this practice we not only represent the subject we perceive at this moment, but call upon memory, history, imagination, and our dynamic relationship to the surrounding world.
