TONDOS

My tondos refer to round paintings by 16th-century Florentine painters, the Pantheon's oculus, and views of the earth's terrain from space. The form is kinetic; its potential for spinning and rolling becomes a metaphor for the experience of awe, destabilization, transformation, and reorientation in the landscape and within the working process.
