The Crossroads Project
The Crossroads Project is a performance piece conceived in 2012 by Utah State University physicist/climate scientist Dr. Robert Davies with The Fry Street Quartet, composers Laura Kaminsky and Libby Larsen, visual artists Rebecca Allan, Garth Lenz, and Lyman Whitaker. Layering the spoken word, music, and visual imagery, we explore the personal and global dimensions of climate change and environmental sustainability. Our creative collaboration draws upon the complementary perspectives of our disciplines-science, art, and music-to address the complex challenges that we face in the stewardship of the planet. Each performance incorporates a dialogue with our audience about the impact of climate change within their local region and, in some cases, an extended creative residency within the community or university.
"The time has come for us to believe what we know." Rob Davies
