150105 Crossroads Project-5924_1k

The Crossroads Project is a multidisciplinary performance by a physicist, a composer, three visual artists, and a string quartet that was launched in 2012 at Utah State University and has been presented across the United States, in Brazil, and Mexico. Conceived by physicist Dr. Robert Davies and The Fry Street Quartet, with composers Laura Kaminsky and Libby Larsen, and visual artists Rebecca Allan, Garth Lenz, and Lyman Whitaker, our collaboration draws upon the complementary perspectives of art and environmental science to address the complex challenges of global sustainability and climate change. Through the layering of scientific, musical and visual elements we explore both the personal and global dimensions of environmental sustainability with our audiences.
